Rachel’s legacy resonates in our hearts. Because it is she who gave us the power to wait; to push silently through the long darkness of exile; to wait for our person relief and the national salvation that we all yearn for.

Throughout her life, our Matriarch Rachel faced adversity and persevered. Her story is the story of each one of us; our inner struggles and our endless waiting. Rachel waited 7 long years to marry Jacob, and then she waited again, watching silently as her husband’s other wives bore him children again and again. But she remained barren.

Today, her tears mingle with our own.

Since 2005, Keren Kever Rachel has been building the bond between Rachel Imeinu and the Jewish people.

2003

For years, Intifada and terror prevent visitors from journeying to Rachel’s Tomb, but a new security wall finally brings them back.

2005

Rabbi Samuel Levine establishes Keren Kever Rachel and arranges round-the-clock Torah study and prayer at the Kever.

2009

Rabbi Levine launches Project Orphan, a program of Keren Kever Rachel that provides young orphans with parental care and love.

2013

Rabbi Levine doubles the number of Torah scholars at Kever Rachel so that Jews worldwide can submit their prayers.

2018

In the selfless spirit of Rachel Imeinu, a 24-hotline allows Jews worldwide to submit petitions for daily prayer at Kever Rachel.

2020

Rabbi Levine accepts a Good Citizenship Award from government officials in recognition of his service at Rachel’s Tomb.

And Today...

Keren Kever Rachel remains the conduit for countless prayers that bring untold salvation to our Jewish brothers and sisters in distress, wherever they may be.
